have had it now for a bit over a month. I can't even begin to say enough positive things about this notebook. I must admit i was very hesitant about buying site unseen as i live in the midwest and fuji dealers seem to be clustered on the left coast. so based soley on reviews and a month of internet research i did it. keyboard is ok,not as solid as the thinkpad, screen brightness is excellent, weight is unbelievably lite and battery life is solid. a great portable machine.

Never heard of anyone having such problems with the S6000 series ...
If I am not mistaken the problem with the S7000s are only appearing with some non-CV screens, I have to guess it's a bad batch of screens or something like that!

I have had my S6231 for a few weeks. Fantastic notebook. Perfect blend of lower weight, performance and battery life. The screen is very nice. Already several coworkers have commented on how clear and bright the screen is.

And, of course, I can't say enough about PortableOne. Ivan and his people are top notch!

This is my first experience with Fujitsu, but so far I am VERY impressed. :fujitsu:

Glad you like it. I'm thinking of getting the s6240. I'm wondering about 1) how the keyboard is, 2) whether the screen resolution is sufficient (I'm also considering the Sony S series, and 3) if the CV xcreen is nice a bright like the equivelent Toshiba and Sony XBrite-type screens. Any info would help. Thanks,
    Dan
