    Hi,

I bought a Lifebook E8020 with an ATI X600 graphics card and I find it pretty loud. I don't know if I'm overly noise-sensitive but I can clearly hear the harddisk and the graphics card fan from sitting in front of it or being a couple of feet away (unfortunately, Fujitsu-Siemens deactivated the Powerplay feature for the ATI X600 in this notebook). The CPU fan only turns on occassionally, so that's not a problem. On the other hand, I have seen notebooks where I needed to put my ear directly onto the keyboard area to hear them running.

What do think about the Lifebook E8020: is it loud or not?

    Regards,
    Peter
