    Lifebook T4010D is it dead?

    I've only had this tablet for about a year and a half. I turned it on and the fan comes on but nothing else happens.
    I hope this thing isn't dead and gone.

    Can you get at the RAM? If so, take it out then replace it. If there's two modules then try each one separately.

    I've had problems with the fan and light(s) coming on but nothing else happening when the RAM isn't seated properly.

    I pulled the RAM and reinstalled, no help. Maybe I could find another chip to try.

    Fantastic! I pulled the chip from my other laptop and the lifebook came back to life! And the emachine is dead. So it is the Ram, thanks.
