I replaced the hardrive in my Lifebook C series and when loading the drivers CD it gives the error message that the drive does not have the DISE partition. I called Fujitsu service and they say I must send the drive to them and pay to have the new disk drive re-imaged so it can take the download. Does anyone have the disk image I can install on my new drive so I don't have to send in the computer for this service?

It is the disk back up image Fujitsu uses to restore the computer in case of a failure. They actually partition the drive and create a "D" drive and put all the driver information and whatever else is needed to restore the system in case of said failure. The only problem is that if your drive completely fails like mine did there's no way to access that partition and if you replace the drive without that partition it will not load the drivers/OS from the back up CD they provide with the system. It is difficult for me to believe that Fujitsu would charge for this partitioning. I would think they would provide the image so their computers stay in service and get high acclaim for ease of use, recovery etc. I'm already looking for my next computer/laptop and it won't be a Fujitsu. I think they hurt themselves with secret disk drive imaging.
