    Laptop screen will not turn back on after sleep. help.

    I have always been able to get my answers from searching but not this time. I have t4215 and the screen will not turn back on after the machine has been woken from sleep. I had to reload the OS from the recovery CD because of a bad hard drive and this started happening almost immediately. If I connect a external monitor everything works (mouse, keyboard) so, the computer itself is actually waking up. I updated the video driver and it is still happening. Any ideas? Thanks

    Will the monitor turn back on after hibernation, or a reboot?

    I'd re-install or update the Video driver first.
