I'm interested in buying an A6025, but I will only make the purchase if it is possible to get XP up and running on it. Are there XP drivers that will work with this notebook?

I personally would try the drivers for the A6010 which was offered with XP. I'm guessing they're pretty similar. I think I heard somewhere Fujitsu was including a XP downgrade disc for PCs shipped with Vista Business or Ultimate since so many peoples were complaining and it is your right to downgrade.

Okay, I booted up with the XP disc and it doesn't recognize the hard drive. Is there some BIOS setting I should change? Everything is set to default presently, and as far as I know the drive is SATA, so shouldn't it be recognized automatically?? Thanks for the help.

You can check the BIOS, there may be something there. Alternatively you can use nLite to slipstream in the SATA drive or Service Pack 2 which should do the trick.

SATA is not compatible with Windows XP Btw you have to install the drivers during the XP installation

well if you look at the sticky in the fujitsu forum and follow method two it should help you create an XP disc slipstreamed with hard drivers for you laptop...plz note the name of the title of the sticky should be changed because i originally wrote it jus for xa/xi series but it now universal (the second method) for all laptops aside from fujitsu..xp cd will not have the sata drivers you will have to integrate..jus follow the method and you will be fine :)

(ps can one of the moderators change the title now for it?) so people will see it as not jus for xi laptops
