    Hi guys,

my s6210 arrived yesterday... and i actually bought it as i heard a lot of good things about it from this forum and i wanted something thin and tiny as i have used 2 toshibas and 1 ibm for the past 8 years... and i opted for a change and seems to be s6210 is perfect for what i want.

the crystal view really makes it stand out.... and i love how it looks as well. i have then inserted a 512mb ddr33 without any real work. but then when i open the hdd cover and tried to insert my old 80G hdd into it (i am bot a system with 40G) only to found that it doesn't look really easy to detach the bus attached on the hdd? i am afraid the bus soldered will comes of if i use some force to pull it. what is the correct way to do a hdd upgrade for s6210? i tot it is gonna be as easy as those toshiba models which basicall using the pull and plug method.

    PLS HELP!!! [ :(]

The plugs release rather easily- After foil wrap is removed. Just take your time- be careful - and not to force anything!! The end of the ribbon that connects to the computer-I think has a lever type release--the part attached to the drive that you are replacing - just needs to be pried off gently--good luck--its not too difficult!!

Thanks a lot SDM!!! I have done the upgrade acording to what you have described and thank god i didn't break my 2 days old machine. Anyway i still feel that the hdd covered by aluminium foil looks fragile and i nearly broke a few pins on the hdd. well it is understandable as i think it is one of the way to go and reduce the overall weight of the machine instead of using the metal bracket like my old toshibas.

well i am happy :) thanks again!!
