Hello. I am a new owner of a s7010D. If you were wondering where I got it, go search ebay for the fujitsu store. Its authentic and there's tracking and everything from shopfujitsu.com. Anyway, I have a question about the screen. Whenever I drag windows around or scroll down webpages, the screen blurs and tears. I don't know if this is because of poor response time or not. My two previous laptops did this when no video drivers were installed but this laptop already has everything preinstalled and the only set of drivers I can find also is the same one on this laptop currently. Is this normal for this screen?

That is not normal at all. Try re-installing the drivers. If that doesn't work, call support.

I had a similar problem with my new S6240B....screen would do a very quick flicker while I was working...particularly noticeable when I was scrolling through web pages. As suggested by Brian, I reinstalled the video driver and I don't recall ever seeing the problem again.

I am having another problem. The lcd screen cannot seem to display videos correctly. The picture looks like I'm staring at a negative and it gets worse if I change my viewing angles a bit from dead center where the image changes color. The lcd in general looks really wierd with this negative appearance to it. I can work with it but I am constantly frustrated by the appearance of things. It looks very inconsistent.

Again, not normal, you possibly have a defect.

search for the newest drivers on google. There is one available directly from Intel. I upgraded to this to use the lappy with my dell widescreen which supports higher resolution.

And yes, like u mentioned, the driver on the Fujitsu site is an old one. Once u update the driver, everything should be fine. If not, call Fujitsu tech support. They r some of the most knowleadgeble and helpful guys around!

I kind of asked portableone even though I didn't buy it from them and they said that they were an authorized service center and that I could ship it to them. Should I ship it to them or fujitsu?

You should contact whoever you have warranty through. If you have warranty through Fujitsu call them up (they have good phone support) and tell them the problem. If they think it warrants an inspection they will tell you where to ship it. As far as I know they will also pay for shipping both ways if it is authorized by them. If you ship without contacting your warranty supplier first you risk 1. having to pay for shipping 2. having to pay for the repair.

    I agree with Mr. Cheese.
Fujitsu's chat help is also great and it can be accessed from fujitsu.com
I like using chat help because it's easier to follow their instruction when it is written.

But before you decided to contact them, try this:
Completely power off the system by removing the battery. Then press the power button for like 5 seconds just to drain any power that's left.
Then plug in the ac adapter and try it again.
