It's really not very easy, but I suppose if you can find a breakdown diagram and have the right tools, you'd be okay.

Was the crack an accident or a defect? Cause it might be covered by the warranty.

My screen was exchanged due to dead pixels by P1 and the job they did was amazing. Couldn't tell that the thing was taken apart, I cannot even think how to take it apart, there are no apparent screws or anything of that sort!

hello all its my first post here, im a NEWBIE!!!
does anyone know the part number/brand for the fujitsu lifebook s6210 lcd

and here is my contribution a small one

to take off the screen --

    disclaimer --

do at your own risk and always be careful when prying stuff bc it could break

-tools- razor (it would be better if you had an exacto knife, or small flat head and small screw driver sets

-at bottom there are three screws covered by 3 rubber pieces remove it with
razor or small flat head take out the three screws as these are the only screws that are holding the panel together

note--- <i didnt do this> you could remove the button and lcd array as it is held on by two screws at the bottom of computer -- first youll need to look behind as there are like slits on the back to remove well i think you can figure it out -- just be careful

-open screen all the way ie let it lay horizontal with the table (opened)
    - know using the flat head and or exacto and start prying at the bottom where the two halves meet (between the joints)
-next go the the bottom corners ie on the sides and work you way around
you should be able to pry it open becuase the frame just snaps together
-once that is done start by removing the frame between the joints go from left to right -- well you,ll see what im taking about

lcd is held on by bracket which are screwed onto the computer --- look at
    lower right hand corners
    -remove the bottom right wire
-there is also wire on back held by on by tape or someting rather

but yeah its a snap together screen framed held on by three screws at bottom

if you guys want pics maybe later when i get my diggy working or have any questions feel free to email or reply to this post

--- hopefully i can that part number and brand for lcd--- fujitsu s6210

i purchased a second rate screen (unipac) and had it installed professionally (guy threw away my old screen so i didnt get part number ) becuase i was scared that i would screw it up- but the screen was faulty and i didnt want to pay the guy to uninstall and reinstall -- so i did it myself. Im now using my girlfriends screen from her fujitsu (keyboard is messed up) for the time being til i get my new screen.

thanks in advance for your replies

I know I am bringing back an old thread.

However, we recently got a hold of a functional s6210 that survived a car crash.

Obviously, the LCD is totally dead. But otherwise, the s6210 only sustained minor cosmetic damage.

If anyone still cares, here are the numbers written on the back of the LCD...

    ------

    CP191238-02 03B

    TM133XG-A02-02

    Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices Corp.

    E00C70006085603

    AR133XJ0551806H5K024ZQ

    Made in Japan.

    -----

I must admit, this lappy blows my 3 year old Compaq Presario out of the water >_<

If anyone knows of a reliable provider to purchase a replacement for less than $250 please let us know!
