    Hi all,

    1) I just bought a Fujitsu N3510 from Fry's and I find that the keys below the touch pad are kind of loose. ie., they don't appear to be firmly seated. There seems to be a slight play in them.

The Fry's salesman says it comes like that these days. I just wanted make sure it isn't faulty, u know.

    2) This laptop gets hot too soon. I am comparing it IBM Thinkpad and Dell Inspiron and feel it is hotter.

Would like to know if any one has noticed these issues.

    Thanx in advance

    -RJ

Hmmm. I have the N3510 and don't notice any loseness in
any keys. These are the mouse button keys below the
trackpad. This doesn't sound right to me. This is the
most solid laptop I have ever owned.

It does get warm, but not too bad at all. I had an
Inspiron 5100 before this which was a P4-2.8 and you
could cook a steak on it. So any warmth from the
computer is slight at worse. This is very subjective,
so it's hard to answer if this is normal or not. I use
it on my lap alot, and after 10-15 minutes, it does feel
warm. So I am wondering if you feel the same thing.
On the countertop, I don't notice the heat at all.

If you can, take it back. I really have no problems at
all at mine and just love the screen and the keyboard.

Well, I did exchange it already once. It was a hassle to go thru the exchange process. You need to stand long queues and so on ...

The one I exchanged had other serious issues like the wireless internet just wouldn't work. Intel's Proset software didn't identifiy the Intel's own wireless adapter ... when I plug in a linksys adapter, internet worked fine. On that one the left mouse key was loose and the right was firm.

On this one, both are loose. That's when the sales guy mentioned "maybe" this comes like this now-a-days ! ...

You mean to say there's absolutley no play in those mouse button keys for your N3510, right ? ...

And, it gets hot only on the left side, right ? ... Right side seems to be cool. I went ahead and bought a laptop coolpad from Best Buy and that seems to have brought down the heat a little.

The problem is the display looks SOOOOO awesome that I really don't wanna look for something else ...

    Thanx
