The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    As I wrote in my previous thread on using Windows 7 64 bit on the Xi2550, I would also try to install 8GB of memory. I can now tell you that I have installed it, and it works fine. So instead of the max. 2GB Fujitsu claimed it would support, you can use 8GB! The only problem is that 4GB DDR2 modules are not really cheap compared to 4GB DDR3 modules. It will most likely work with other older laptops too if they have the Intel 965 chipset!
