    Hi guys,

I haven't been here since last year, but I've decided to post a follow-up of my experiences with my fujitsu S6120.

Pros: extremely light-weight (~ 4 lbs), extremely good looking (i get compliments from my friends all the time), decently equipped and linux detects all my parts fine, decent battery life.

Cons: Something is wrong with my LCD screen. I've also read a few other posts about the screen going out. I think it is something with the connector that controls the backlight. Sometimes it just flickers and goes out. To fix it, I have to close the lid all the way and open it again. This has been an ongoing problem. I sent the laptop to Fujitsu to get repaired once for this problem (estimated $400 to repair without warranty), and the problem is back (warranty expired!). The eth0 lan card does not turn on unless I put in the ethernet cable before bootup. Also, this laptop is expensive for the $1500 I paid for it.

Overall, I am happy with it, with the exception of the LCD problem. Does anyone have any tips/comments on how to fix it? Will it be a potentially-lethal problem?

I will answer questions if anyone has any. [8D]

It does sound like a problem with the connection. So your warranty is out now? Did you happen to buy from P1 with AMEX?
