You get the green fingerprint I assume? If so, re-install the software and see if that helps, I've not seen that on any of my finger enabled machines.

Is there any other software that we can use for fingerprint authentication?

There is nothing wrong with OmniPass. The problem is with the updated Athentec driver. Solution: from Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click on Authentec device, properties, driver tab, roll back driver. Reboot, problem solved.

To confirm, I'm successfully using the updated OmniPass v3.50.25 with Authentec driver v6.26.11.0. This latest version of Omnipass was posted to Fujitsu's US website on Monday for the S7010/S7010D (S7011 is an Asian release, so driver's may not be compatible). The U.S. download includes both updated versions of both OmniPass and the Authentec fingerprint scanner driver. Twice I installed the updated fingerprint driver but left sensor unresponsive at login. Rolling back to the original driver solved my issue.

    Original OmniPass version: 3.01.62
    Original Authentec driver v6.26.11.0

Aquanaut, mine is responsive, accepts the print. But it won't log in when i use windows welcome screen. Contacted Fujitsu 2 days back, no reply as yet.

I can still log on using Windows classic log in. Makes me feel old school.

I believe your problem is related to the 'ginastub.dll'. I've only used classic mode, so no problem. In fact, XP won't allow me to change the login option as long as Omnipass is installed. An Atheros update unapproved by Fujitsu once installed a file called athgina.dll that actually replaced the original. This caused OmniPass login to stop working, seems it replaced the Omnipass "gina". Are you using the stock Fujitsu network drivers (Intel 2200)? If not, you might try -- uninstall omnipass, revert network drivers to official fujitsu approved drivers, then reinstall omnipass.

Fujitsu shows latest approved Intel drivers for S7010 are:
    Intel 2200 b/g v8.0.12.9000
    javascript:subdownload('http://www.fujitsupc.com/downloads/S7010_ONION_WLAN_INTEL_V8.0.12.9000_XP.EXE')

    Latest Fingerprint/Omnipass download
    javascript:subdownload('http://www.fujitsupc.com/downloads/FINGERPRINT_SENSOR_SOFTWARE_V3.50.25.EXE')

    Cheers

I'm using Intel's driver from Fujitsu's Recovery CD. I didn't install the utility from intel, just the driver. Funny I just checked this, when I use omnipass with programs it doesn't hit the submit button for me, even thou i enabled this option.
At the moment using latest omnipass utility

Did this problem happen from day 1 before you installed your programs?
