I've not seen that before. Looks a little clunky to me. The bay battery is much more elegant.

Mini mouse is good, there are many wireless options. I also recommend getting a good backpack. Look at www.spireusa.com. There are many more, look in the accessories threads.

    Hello,

Well that would be a cheaper way for extra power for your laptop, but it might not be as efficient, and easy to use. Maybe an extra battery that replaces the cd rom would be more convientent.

As for a mini mouse, I just picked up a Logitech Mouseman Traveler for 13 bucks off ebay, its a great little mouse. I also had a microsoft mini mouse.. but the wire on it got a short, or something because if you wiggle it it doesnt work anymore :*( but mini mice are nice to have.

With bay battery, I think the problem will be that you can't watch a DVD/ play CD (problem specially say on a long flight). Additional main battery should be much better.

but if you have 2 main batteries how would you charge the other one without having to switch it around on the laptop to charge it. is there some kinda desktop charger?

No, you flip them in and out. Kind of a pain, but protects from having to give up the DVD player...which is what most people want to use on extended battery use anyway!
