Hello, thank you for all the useful info I've read so far.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the S7010 models and the S7020 models ? Also the S7010D models for that matter ?

It seems to me that the only major difference is that the wireless hardware stuff is different, but I'm new to modern-day computer specs and might be missing something really obvious (my current laptop is a 1998 Twinhead that still runs on Windows 1995! Time to upgrade, no?!).

    Thanks in advance,

(so I can pay even more money for my future fujitsu than you do in the US)

The 7010 uses the older Dothan Petnium Ms while the 7020 uses the newer Sonoma Pentium Ms. The D indicates an Athernos wireless card as oppesed to the intel meaning it is not Centrino. On a side note, these questions have been asked and answered on more than one occasion, the search function will reveal many answers.

There are a few other differences between the S7010 and S7020 too- the latter uses a SATA hard drive (but the 7010 could be configured with a 7200 rpm drive, and the fastest SATA laptop drive is 5400 currently), has a different (and presumably better) integrated video card with 128 mb of shared RAM versus 64, has a better chipset (again, supposedly) and faster processor options, and I think was fractionally smaller and slightly lighter in weight. Basically, the S7010 was last year's model, and has been replaced by the S7020.
I bought the S7020D- lightest 14.1" unit with a modular optical drive.

As well, S7020 has a S-Video out port that S7010 doesn't have. Good for people who like to play movies/games on TV.
