I recently purchased a used Lifebook T4220 for cartoon production. I scan pencil sketches, then ink with Manga Studio. I had been using a Wacom Intuos pad, but wanted to try the direct-on-screen drawing without investing a fortune in a Cintiq before I knew how it would work.

I find an annoying offset between the tip of the stylus to the on-screen drawing point. The offset varies across the screen, not only in amount, but in location as well - on some areas of the screen, the drawing point is out in front of the stylus tip, which is annoying but fairly easily manageable. In other areas, the drawing point is actuall back under the tip of the stylus, where I can't even see it without leaning far over and looking under the tip of the stylus at an angle.

I've tried the built-in stylus calibration (touch the crosshairs on four corners), but that didn't seem to help. Anyone have experience with this or any suggestions? And does anyone have experience on both the Fujitsu and the Cintiq, to discuss pros and cons? Thanks for any input.

You would have better luck posting these kind of questions to the Fujitsu forum on the sister site TabletPCreview ... they would gladly help out on this one.
Luckily there is already a stickied thread answering your exact question: HOWTO: Proper Tabletpc calibration in Windows

    good luck~!
