    Hey Fujitsu folks,

My dad recently purchased an s6240 which came with two sticks of Samsung 256MB 200pin SODIMM DDR2(I believe). He wanted to upgrade to 1GB so the guys at Fry's sold him a stick of Corsair 512GB 200pin SODIMM DDR memory. He tried to install it, but it's one pin off. So the groove for the module holder doesn't slide into the memory, it's off by a pin. Wtf? I thought DDR was supposed to fit in DDR2 slots? Can anybody recommend him a specific brand of memory and type that you know works? Thanks all!

DDR memory is not compatible in a PC that is spec'ed as DDR2. You'll need to go and buy DDR2 memory - which is more expensive.

Take it back to Frys and asked why they ripped you off. A sales person in a computer specialist store should know that stuff.
