    Hi guys,

i have a question. The last two times when nvidia launched their high-end mobile quadro cards (FX 3600M, FX3700M) they always said it will be placed in Celsius H as well (next to Dell, HP, or Lenovo regarding 3700M).

Well, looking at this 15.4'' notebook... Is there really a chance - better said are there plans - to get those cards into that notebook?

Hmmm, alienware also did it with the m15x....

    cheers

So far it seems FSC are offering Celsius H with a mid-range Quadro ( FX 770M) only: http://sp.fujitsu-siemens.com/dmsp/docs/ds_celsius_h270.pdf I believe the main issue for Celsius H is that FX 3700M is available for the 17" Form Factor, while Celsius is a 15,4" Form Factor notebook. The top Quadro available in 15,4" is the (still mid-range) FX 1700M. I admit I'm not 100% sure which form factor the FX 3600M is available for, but both FX 2700M and FX 3700M are for 17" only.

The FX3600M should be theoretically for 17" as well, but recently Alienware started offering its 15.4" m15x with that board as well. I have many doubts about that solution, the 3600M seems really too much of heat and power drain for a 15.4", but I look forward to see some comment about the new AW configuration soon.

The Celsius H270 seems in line with other similar notebooks recently announced ( Dell M4400 and HP 8530W), both with the 770M. I wonder why there is so little discussion about the Celsius (compared to the other two), I'm not familiar with Fujitsu notebooks but for me this has the great advantage of the modular bay with the second battery.

Thanx for all your replies. Perhaps Fujitsu-Siemens will also pick up the 17'' standard for their mobile workstations.

If not, i'll probably stay with dell, hp or lenovo.

    cheers

What a horror story. I'm glad I went for an HP, I considered the Celsius for a while but I decided against it when I discovered how hard it was to get information from FSC in my country (Italy) before the purchase.

I wish you to get some payback for all these issues.

The story is even worse than described, but I was already going a long way in details so far, so I decided to be more succinct, even thought it is already lengthy
