If you are using main battery and a bay battery for S6000, is it possible to choose which battery is to be used first.

i.e If I wanted to do some work(internet, Office stuff) that doesnt require optical drive and then later on maybe watch a movie. Is it possibel to tell the computer to use the bay battery first and then the main battery.

What requires more batter? Internet, Office stuff or watching a movie.

Thanks in advance for all the responses.

I'm not aware of any way to do this. The computer needs power and pulls it evenly. As for what takes more, watching a movie, since you have to power and spin the DVD drive the entire time.

Well I am not sure if the computer draws power evenly...... I thought that the computer drains out the main battery first and then uses the 2nd battery or the bay battery. Only if there was a way to reverse it, where the computer draws power from the 2nd/bay battery first and then the main battery.

Please let me know if anyone else knows anything more about this.

    Regards,

What if you removed the main battery so it would have no choice but to pull off the bay battery. But that would be a pain if you repeated the same manuevre frequently.

It definitely draws evenly. Hmm, pull th emain battery eh? That's not a terrible idea, but a pain as you say.

    Hi there,

Which FS laptops have second battery bays? I am betwwen buying either, Amilo M 1420 or an Amilo A 1630.

Do either of these have a second battery bay?

    Thanks in advance,
