If portability and battery life are not a concern, which of the Fujitsu laptops would you recommend for graphic intensive applications like Autocad, and 3DStudio Max?

Agreed...the N series is really the only play in the Fujitsu line for those needs.

as a daily user of acad/max/rhino/photoshop/illustrator. <usually not on the same day... but sometimes ;)> the two things that make your life easier are:

    1. a responsive graphics card.
    2. an clear/tight display.

if money is not a concern either, i would get the most expensive graphics card offered. you will always push the limit with 3d applications. and the apps will always push your card.

    AND

if color is important to you, (and it should be with any rendering program) you need a crt. modeling is fine on a laptop (better get a mouse too) but you 'll be very unsatisfied with a laptop's rendition of material editor colors and textures.[ :(]
