I've had a C1010 for a few years now and have never been able to use the SPDIF digital audio out port. I would like to play MP3s on the laptop and record them on my mini disc. I have successfully recorded from the Lvg Rm DVD player with my optical cable.

I have a continuous red light coming from the port, but the mini disk reports "No signal".

Incidentally, my lifebook only has a CD Reader, but I don't know if that's an issue.

I cant find anything in any of the handbooks that says much more than the 'Lifebook has an SPDIF port' !

    Can anyone help ?
