ok here goes, i used my laptop the other day ond for some reason i didnt work from battery alone so i thought i would charge on al would be ok, i left it for about hour and tried again but still would not work. the power management says batery is 100% but soon as i removed AC power cord laptop would turn of. tonight i took some of the pannels from underneath the laptop of to clean the fan out as it was noisy, then put all back together. but to my shock i pressed power button with only battery connected and it came on, only problem now is that the battery meter in taskbar reads 0% battery power but as soon as AC cord is plugged in the battery icon disapears and displays ''ON AC POWER'' buyt again it still says 100% in power settings.

    so just to carify things

laptop now works with battery but displays 0% when AC cord plugged in icon changes to ''ON AC POWER'' and it says battery 100% in power meter.
if anyone can understand what the hell im saying please help me.

P.S i did try holding power button in for 30 seconds and it did nothing,
and im running XP if that helps.
