Hey, iv had my s6240 since about nov 05. When i got it i noticed the screen would occasionally go black or sometimes purple, and i just see that particular colour and nothing else. THat being said things were still running the background, i just couldnt see it. I would need to restart for the comp to be functional. I usually just restarted by pressing the power button and guessing which option on the window would restart the comp.

Anyone know why this happens? it happens even after i reformated.

Secondly, since i reformatted, the coputer doesnt seem to remember the volume i set it at, it would just max itself out each time i turn off the computer and so when i boot it up the window chime would be blasting loud? anyone know why?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you reformmated and it still happens it is likely a hardware issue.
