Finally have my new Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1650 laptop. Pleased with it, apart from one minor issue.
I'm intending to get an iPod in the near future, so have put iTunes on my computer and have started firing CDs into it.

However, during playback, there is jittering. Not a lot, but enough now and again to be annoying. The jitters seem to be when the hard drive is being accessed, as the hard drive LED lights up at the same time as the jitters.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this, and how to remedy the problem?

    Thanks
    Raymond

Jitters, as in a sort of jumping / crackling noise.
I've downloaded the most recent CODECS from Realtek's website, and all seems to be well. Was just ondering what might have been causing the problem.
My spec is 512RAM and the AMD Mobile Athlon 64 3400+ processor. Using iTunes for my audio, as i'm planning to get an iPod in the near future.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks

If you have a realtek audio chip, go to realteks site, and get the latest drivers - eliminates the crackling (I had that too, I also have a realtek chip)
