Hi,
Apologies for a second thread in quick succession, but as the answer in the recent one was never posted, I was hoping for som advice.
I've forgotten the BIOS password of my old Lifebook C-6555, and it's set up so that I can't boot at all unless I can get passed the BIOS password - so I can't run any of the apps that would help otherwise.
I've tried to locate the CMOS battery with no luck - if anyone knows the C-6555, could you tell me where I can find the CMOS battery and if removing it for a spell will help?
I've also hunted for a manual the might tell me what make the mobo is, but all without success.
I understand the point about going back to Fujitsu, but from what I've read today they need the serial number from the packaging, which after so long I don't have. I also don'e want to pay for a fix as even without the system being disabled, I can't imagine the thing being worth more that £20.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated - I've got a Linux install waiting to go on there, and even a step in the right direction would be a massive help.

sorry.
NBR can't help you get around a BIOS password.
