    Hi Guys,

I got this Amilo about 6 months ago, and got to admit its great... exept for the fan, very noisy and doesnt seem to cool down the notebook at all.

Anyways , since this morning, the fan won't even turn itself on, so unless I have a hoover sucking air from a box underneath my laptop, the system crashes after 50minutes because of overheating...

Anyone know / heard of this before? Apart from being a hardware malfunction what could it be? BIOS ?

    Thanks for your help!

    Axel

Ok here is a small update : I disconnected the fan from the motherboard, and connected an old one, and when starting (usally the fan speeds up to max rpm, and then dies down until it is needed) nothing happened. So im thinking its not a hardware problem...

Also Fan control in NHC and speedfan give me nothing, apart from readings of the temperature.

I also flashed my bios to the latest available one... Gonna try and reinstall windows tomorrow.

    Any ideas?
