My first post... I bought 2 months ago Amilo 1667 AMD 64 Mobile Athlon 4000+/2GB RAM/X700... The temperature for CPU is always 50° C... I think that hardware has not the feature to show the real temperature... is it right? I use Everest or SpeedFun to measure them..
Also, is it normal to have 42° C average on my HD? I have replaced the 100GB 4200rpm FSC 8MB cache with the 100GB 5200rpm Toshiba (MK1032GAX)16MB cache...
The issue is that after an hour, it is problematic to work with it... :(

    hi,
i have the same model and the temperature stay always at 50 too. i'm with the original 100gb FSC hdd and it cam reach 55 during intensive work :) I don't know what the problem is with this heat either, sorry ? but you temperature is better with your toshiba as I see :)

I'm going to replace the memory with DDR400 soon, and i want to replace the hdd too. do you have the hdd specs of your new one?

    My first post here :)

Same here - I have FSC Amilo 1667G with 1.8GHz AMD Turion CPU and it always shows 50°C everywhere I checked - no matter if it was running idle@800MHz (battery mode) or full load@1800MHz (AC Power).
