While I would really love to have a 17" screen and the extra space to view documents side by side, I am really hating the extra weight, extra heat, and low battery life that the P4 (N6010) drags along with it.
    That's why I have yet to decide between 15.4" and 17"! [ :(]
So will fujitsu be refreshing the N6000 line or releasing a new line of desktop replacements (17") with a centrino core?
Just look at dell's XPS2. With a centrino core it's now lighter and has loger battery life, and CHEAPER!!!
I don't want to settle for an option and then find out a couple of weeks later that what I REALLY wanted will be released soon!

Qwester, while the xps2 is lighter and has better battery life, it definitely is not cheaper. Just for kicks I configured an xps2 with the same specs as my n6010 (- the video card) and it was 1000.00 more. Check it out:

What about the N3510? The downsided is that only has the 15.4 screen and the x300 video card.

I care less about graphics, and more about work area.
I might game once in a while, but I am almost always working with 2 or 3 applications at the same time, so side by side would be super cool. I actually at some points use a friend's laptop side by side with mine to get some work done. What I am trying to do is have something simillar to desktop dual display without getting a desktop!

Then you definitely would want a 17" screen. I think we will see a lot more of the sonama chip sets. I wouldnt be surprised if Fujitsu comes out with a version that has a 17" screen in the near future. Good luck on your research. Thats half the fun! [ :D]

The N6 is virtually brand new, I doubt they'll refresh that until the end of the year.

I just don't see it happeneing. To be honest with you, I don't see the point in putting a PM chip in a 17" model that obviously isn't going many places and as a result, battery life isn't critical.
