Does anyone know if Fujitsu will be making a light weight (13/14 inch screen, 4-6lbs) notebook with a 7200RPM hard disk and an Intel Dual Core/AMD 64 bit processor? I'm going to need something like this in August and was hoping to get it from Fujitsu. Thanks in advance!

ok, now I'm confused. Fujitsu's website doesn't list any notebooks with a 7200RPM HD, but portableone.com will let me configure just about any fujitsu with one. Does portableone.com just install an aftermarket HD, and if so will that void the waranty? This is very confusing.

Installing a hard drive yourself doesn't void the warranty, and neither does the RAM - you can always do those aftermarket to save some money. ;)

Porable One is an authorized reseller, so their upgrades don't void the warranty. Even if it something not offered by fujitsu, like HDD.

But if you do the upgrades yourself, it is better to keep anything you took out. In case you need to send it back you put those parts back in again. Cause fujitsu are a bit picky about user upgrades, even tough the RAMs and HDD are easily upgradable on all fujitsu's.

Personally I have no info about new models, but I expect them to maintain a simillar line up but with the newer cores, afterall the S2/6/7000 have been around for a looong time, and hopefully will :)

Much will change between now and August.
