strange problem with the screen on my 7020d... occasionally during normal use the entire screen image will shift to the right for a split second...
example:
It only lasts for a fraction of a second, but then will return to normal.. sometimes it happens multiple times in a short time period, other times I can use the computer for an extended amount of time and nothing will happen at all. This does not seem to be caused by specific programs or me moving the notebook. All drivers are up to date.Code:normal image: ------------- | +\ + | | + \ + | | + \ + | | + \ + | | + \+ | ------------- shifted image: ------------- | + \ | | + \ | | + \| | + | | + | -------------
does anyone have any ideas before i return the notebook or get it serviced?
thanks

Could be a driver problem, try removing it and re-installing.

I experience the same problem, and I think I read on these forums that someone else was. I have not been able to pinpoint what causes the problem and it seems sporadic.

try these drivers:
http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel915gm/
DO NOT USE THE DRIVERS FROM THE FUJITSU SITE... THEY ARE CRAP.
i upgraded my drivers and ZERO PROBLEMS after that... good luck! -
Hi,
I just received my S7020D with crystal view screen yesterday. I have also experienced the problem you describe (image bouncing around for split second). I have to say, I don't like the screen at all. The brighness distribution and viewing angle of the CV screen are very disappointing. It is very bright, but that in itself is nothing to get excited about.
I am trying to get a return authorization from Fujitsu and send this thing back for a refund. -
Hmm...I had noticed that bouncing thing on my S7020 as well, although it hasn't been doing it that much recently. I'll try that driver fix. Thanks, FOB.

the crystal view screens are one of the best out there. follow FOB's direction its just a driver issue not a screen issue.
