One week in and I just love it. I still have lots to play with and explore but so far it is sweet. Some quick observations

    1) Very well Built. It is solid with very little flex.
    2) Damm it is heavy. I do travel a bit but most time it will just stay on my desk or at the clients. I have a case with wheels that will get some good use.
    3) Could the power brick be any bigger? I know the screen eats power but I wish the brick was 1/2 the size.
    4) Keyboard is Just right. Responsive and easy to type on. I love the numeric keypad.
    5) Best Screen I have seen on a note book.
    6) great sound for a notebook
    7) Lucky to get 2 hours from the battery (at least watching a movie)
8)firewire uses minin plug, need to get a new cable to use with my video camera
    9) Movies and world of warcraft look fantastic on it. I have a 21 inch viewsonic crt on my home system with an ati 9800 pro and I think that the n6010 screen looks better. This may be just because its new to me but so far WOW.

I will keep you posted after a few more weeks but so far I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you P1 and Ivan for the great service. No bad screens or dead pixles here, so far everything is perfect.

Another happy customer. I love mine too, although it came with stuck pixels and had to have the screen replaced, so I had to wait an extra week!

On the power brick. actually the screen isn't the most power hungry. The P4 at full throttle uses 88W. Power brick is rated at 150W (19Vx7.9A). So with a bit of over head I would say that everything other than the CPU only consumes around 50W max, that's including a graphics card that aint too power friendly.

As for gaming, you gotta love WOW on this thing, also UT2004 plays flawlessly + I never thought it would be possible to enjoy UT on laptop speakers, but I do (I was spoilled by full surround before I moved to my little apartment!). These speakers deliver! I no longer bother to hook up my mp3 player to my Z-3 Logitech speakers everytime I want to listen to some music, my N6 is good enough if I am sitting infront of it!

Yes, I agree - it is a very well built unit.

for that firewire 4pin to 4 pin cable, it is a pretty expensive cable. I was looking at retail stores and it was going for $30 for 10 feet, probably one of the most expensive cables I have yet to need. However, I went to my University Computer store, and it was selling for $11 for 10 feet as well. It is unbranded but a 3x price difference matters. lol

Seems like you guys use the notebook speakers to listen. I would too but I do not want to spoil it since I like to turn up the volume. Probably one of the best features is the LED Volume display. I look at other notebooks and all they have is either a scroll or just a button with an on-screen volume display.

And I was suprised when I opened the bay for the TV Tuner card (I got the N6010B without the TV Tuner) and found it to be empty. Hollow inside. Maybe I can hide some drugs or something lol.

Of the months of usage, I have found one problem with the N6010. The position of the touchpad should be shifted to the right a bit more. It could be my hand positioning for the keyboard, but my left palm somehow gets on the touchpad when typing. This is annoying when I am using the touchpad and typing. It will move the mouse around and select my cursor to somewhere else. 1 cm to the left will do fine for me.

And I noticed some light leakage(not from the monitor but from the casing around the screen) when I was watching a movie in a dark room. I dont know if it is only my unit, but if you turn the light off, have a white background and look on the right center of the edge of the screen (I mean the frame rather than the screen), I can see some light inside. It isnt visible under normal light, but when it is dark and you are positioned exactly orthogonal to the screen at that point, you can see it. I will try to take a picture sometime.
