halo to you all. this is my first post.
I have been thinking about buying a S62xx for a while. Recently they just drop the price on the S6210A to $1239 at newegg. I am just wondering how much difference there is comapring to the 6231 (@$1399). The specs seems all the same besides the M 725 cpu with the 6231. and I read from some of the posts here saying the 6231 may dispense the heat better. other than that,
really like to know what you guys think and which deal you would suggest to get.
    thanks a lot.

I would personally go for the newer one, although the performance improvement may not be that much at all. But it's only a little difference in price to get a newer chip and more heat dispensing. BTW the improved heat dispensing is just more vents in the body; compare the pics of the S6210 and S6231 at newegg side by side.

Why don't you consider Portable One. I think they are still giving free 3 year warranty, and for only $30 you can get a 5400RPM HDD

If you have the budget, I like the 31. If money's tight, you're not going to lose a lot by doing the 6210. As qwester noted, portable one has some specials from time to time that might make their total offer better.
