This is kind of a stupid post, but I can't decide!

    Paralysis by Analysis - that's me![ :p]

    From P1.com
    $1849 - S6210
    - M 1.6 GHz
    - 768 MB (DDR333)
    - 60 GB (7200 rpm)
    - DVD/CD RW
    - 3 yr warr
    - wireless b/g
    - touchpad

    for $90 more.... $1939 S7010D
    - M 1.5 GHz
    - 768 MB (DDR333)
    - 60 GB (7200 rpm)
    - DVD/CD RW
    - 3 yr warr
    - wireless a, b/g
    - bluetooth
    - dual pointing devices [ :)]
    - free carry case[ :)]

I heard that S6210 is "tight" so including that and CV screen and size is there anything else I should be considering?
Wireless was said to be weak on S7010 (PC review) but it has the "a"!
If I could have seen them in person it might have been easier but no such luck![:I]

You'd think I was buying a house with my deliberations! My car was easier to choose! [)]

Thanks for listening and all comments are appreciated! (EXCEPT "flip a coin" which is what my friends are saying: they just don't understand!) [ ;)]

What good does it do if you don't have 802.11a router?
And if you don't already have a router or access point, read this post.

Dr. Bailey, has you might already know, I am typing this message on my new 6210 [ :)].

I think it is fine to spend a lot of time researching. I spent about four months which came out to countless hours..

I would not worry about 1.6 vs 1.5, as it is probably neglegible.
If you must have a pointing eraser head head, then you would have to go with the S7000. That free carrying case sounds nice also. The 802.11a is not a big deal.

I can not speak for the S7000, but my S6210 is really great. I can answer any questions you have about it.

I am size concern, so, if I were you, I'd choose 6210 [8D]
I live in Asia-Oceania region and in the AP-Oc website, between 6210 - 7010D, not so many differences I can find so, again... size does matter, especially for mobile people who need to carry their laptop almost everywhere.

I too would go with the S6210 for size and for the CV screen. It doesn't sound like you're dying to have 802.11a, Bluetooth or a slightly larger screen.

bluetooth max bandwidth is like 1mbps, about 1/10 of 802.11b. And USB-Bluetooth adaptor cost like $20 if you must.
PS: I was thinking about getting USB-bluetooth & USB-IrDA, unless somebody can find me USB combo for that.
    http://store.yahoo.com/insidecomputer/bluetooth.html
    USB-bluetooth=$21
    USB-IrDA=$12
    plus shipping+tax(if any)
I, myself, would go to Fry's first and see if they have something similar.

I bought the S7010D for the same reason, they are the same price and the larger 14.1 inch screen seemed better. Actually I was comparing it to the older S6120 at the time when the weight of the two were equal.

Now I wish I had waited for the S6210. The smaller screen may be a bit more difficult to work on but I wish I had the slightly smaller overall size when it is on a tray table on an airplane. The S6210 is 3oz lighter the memory card reader is cool. Despite the glare the CV screen does seem brighter and sharper. If I could get a decent price for my S7010D I'd sell it and but the S6210.

Packrat, I'm sorry you're having buyer's remorse. I have that problem a lot and am forced to buy new technogy every few months to make myself feel better. If I were you, the sooner you punt the machine to eBay the better. The last thing you need is for Fujitsu to release a new processor, or whatever, further devaluing your unit. I'd be suprised if you lost more than $150-200 in the deal.
