hey guys i have the 6809 and after putting xp pro on my computer, i have noticed that there is one unknown usb controller in my device manager under the other devices category, it says i do not have the driver installed for this device, however all my usb ports seem to work fine, does anyone know what driver im missing? i think ive reinstalled all the drivers from the restore dvd already.

one other thing, used the card reader for hte frsit time today and it told me my card reader is not configured for high speed even tho my sony ms is high speed, is our card reader not high speed? what can i do to resolve this issue as well?
    thanks for any advice guys!!

you know, I've heard of soooo many people having issues with their m6809 after installing Windows XP Pro that it seems there just might be some incompatibility options. I'm sorry I can't help out with your specific problem, but if you search around in the forums you'll find people are having similar issues to you or at least lots of troubles after installing XP Pro on the 6809. I have no clue why this would be...hopefully others can help!

hey, yeah i've read about issues with xp pro and the 6809 however i just wanted to kno WHERE my pci bus 0, device 16, function 3 is located, thats the port that is missing a driver, and also, is our card reader SUPPOSED to be high speed? or low speed? i just need to get these two things straight so that i can decide on whether or not to keep xp pro or go back with my restore disk, thank you

Have you loaded all the Windows updates? The service pack should take care of your problem.

Alternatively you can use the USB 2 drivers from viaarena.com to install the controller on xp pro. However, some people say sp1 does it.

I dont know cause I used the via drivers before installing sp1....

btw... sp2 does not work well on the M6805...
