Hello, I'll start by saying that I am a bit of a novice so bear with me.

I installed Win XP Pro on my M6805 and to my dismay the ATI Mobility RAdeon 9600 card is nowhere to be seen. How do I get it back? When I reboot it does not recognize that it is even there or "new hardware needs to be installed". And to add a little spice, I left the recovery discs at work so I will also need to work around that issue if it arises.

    thanks in advance

Try installing the drivers for the GPU, this should fix the problem. You can download the latest drivers from emachines, or you can give omega drivers a try. I've been using the omega drivers for around a month now and I'm very happy.

All is well, thanks for the advice. Actually what turned out to be the easiest fix for me was to dump a fresh copy of Pro on top and then go into c :Drivers and install everything from there one by one. When I finally completed each install the whole computer runs great with no warning in the managment console. Next is the AMD powernow stuff and tweaks for performance. thanks again for the reply's
