i recently aquired a dell d610, but its not what i was looking for. so i have been expanding my budget to get something like a Uniwell 259En3 or a Sabio SD-KN1. but then i came across this gem from walmart. it is so tempting. i will probably sell my d610 for like $500 or $600 i guess, but i havent had a chance to see this emachines up close yet. the X300 it has should play guild wars fine, which is the only game i occasionally play, when i'm not working on my book or poetry or anything. any one else have an opinion about this?

Just bought this lappy tonight...I'd give you some update later ;-) BTW, what's the spec of your D610? It's a solid machine performance-wise. Just curious..why do you want to sell it?

Tom, check the GPU in the hardware manager on your eMachines.. I am convinced that the GPU is actually an X200 rather than an X300.. Could be wrong though..

    To confirm, it's ATI x200.

Yes, but based on the X300, just slower and integrated hence the X200 designation.

O man...this thing plays every game....wow. Couldn't be happier--and for the low price!!...

Sent it in once because I had a dead pixel...FIXED! Great company! No other would replace that

Ive had this laptop for about 5-6 months now. No problems. It plays UT2k4, HL2, and Doom3 (not at high level). Its a good gamming machine for the price. As others have pointed out, " Change the video memory in the bios to 128." Also add another stick of 512.
