My Dell Inspiron 8000 screen will not stay up. It has been loose for about a month and now it will not stay up at all. Any suggestions as to how to fix it? I can't find any suggestions on the Internet and my warranty is outdated. Thanks! :)

You may want to transfer this to the Dell Forum, since this is for eMachine units.

But, usually when hinges fail, there's no way to fix it without new hinges. That has to be done through the manufacturer. Warranty or not, they're the only ones that have the hinges. You can try buying a similar notebook from eBay and replace them yourself.
