eMachines was bought by Gateway. I don't think they are making any new laptops. Their HQ was in California before they were bought.

The eMachines m68xx and the Gateway 74xx are pretty much the same machine, and are made by Arima in Taiwan.

Hi, I also need help regarding eMachines M6811 with Athlon 64 3400. Can you switch it somewhere so it will work with full processor power on batteries? I'm looking forward to buy one used, but the current user says it run much slower on batteries and he doesn't know if this can be switched... ???

You can but you'll only get half the battery life. Find a program called RMClock if you want to.

Only on the 6809. The VIC-20 predates the Timex Sinclair, unless yours was the white ZX80... http://oldcomputers.net/
