When I check the system properties the reported processor frequency seems to change often although I'm always plugged in, sometimes its 2.21 Ghz, sometimes 1.59 Ghz, and sometimes .79Ghz. Is that normal for the amd mobile?

If you want the processor to be at full speed all of the time, I believe you can do this by changing your power scheme to "Always On."

This will drain your battery though if you are off AC power.
