I opened my notebook and totally screwed my keyboard (and else). Can I order a new keyboard for this notebook to insall myself?

Sorry for the short message but I'm with the onscreen keyboard :( I live abroad and can't send it to the emachines service.

You can call eMach service and buy a keyboard I'm sure. It's pretty hard to break one, wonder what you did, LOL.

I damaged the connector ribbon. I did other damage but this is the most probematic.

I live in Albania and needed a programming machine. Why on earth didn't I get an Acer or HP is beyond logic. They have full support here for them, and the 3003lci is as good as an emachines for programming. Better, if you take into account the screen flicker.

Can someone please tell me what are those flat ribbon cables called in english? I need one for connecting the bar with the power button and multimedia buttons to the motherboard. Its a 10pin normal one (no cable crossing). What should I google for? (notice how Google has changed the dictionary).
