This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     m6811 fedora64bit screen resolution

    I finally managed to install Fedora Core3 64bit on my M6811 but I cannot get the 1280*800 display resolution.

    So far, I only edited etc/X11/xorg.conf and added 1280x800 to the Modes in the Screen subsection for both 16 and 24bit color depth. However, this is not listed in the GNOME display setup, and anytime I change the display the xorg.conf file get overwritten and one of the 1280*800 entried disappears.

    How can I get this screen resolution to work in the M6811?
