    ok guys i got a m5405 laptop

The problem is not only are the hinges cracked but the screen will not display an image, about half way down the screen there is a line that sperates the 2 halves and the top half gets perfect picture while thebottom half freezes the image on the screen. Ive noticed if you apply pressure to the side of the screen right were it seperated then the screen will go back to normal operation. Needless to say this is very annoying and has forced me to attack a paper clip onto the screen to make it work and apply pressure at that point. But it takes a good 5 minutes to find the sweet spot once i put it on there and move it around. This is causing me more and more trouble as time goes on. The computer is going to be 2 yrs old in december, and its out of warranty.

Anyone know of any fixes, also i have the BIOS NOT FOR RESALE, EVALUTION ONLY message. im gonna respond to that post a few levels down.
