If I buy a refurbished laptop (m6811) and say 5 months from now the screen starts to die, what do I do? Do I call up eMachines or am I screwed since I got it Refurb?

The standard warranty on a refurb is 90 days.. So you would have to pay for the replacement screen and the repair, so basically you're screwed.

So within those 90 days everything will be covered? And even past those 90 days if something is broke I will have to pay for it, but it can still be fixed threw eMachines or Referb company?

Up to 90 days most things are covered, screen, dvd, processor etc. But after 90 days if something broke you can make arrangements with eMachines to fix it (at your cost).. But yea, they fix it for you.

You might want to reconsider buying from them.

    Their support is very unreliable.

I have been over 8 weeks without my notebook since I sent it in for repairs.

I know most people don't have to wait that long, but can you take the chance ?
