    I haven't heard a whole lot about Gateway/Emachines laptops. Are they good? How do they compare to other brands like Toshiba, Dell, etc.?

    Also: Did Emachines buy Gateway? Why don't they go buy one name?

    Emachines are pretty good for Gaming and multitask users.Gateway bought emachines.They wont combine product lines until l8er on.

    COMPUTERS WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD.LETS CALL FOR THE GOVERNOR OF CALI!

    I just saw the emachine 6805 with the athlon 3000 today at bestbuy for $950... wow awesome deal didn't have the cash on me though
