Just in case anyone saw, the new Voodoo Envy m:860 uses the same exact shell as the eMachines m6800 series. Of course, the contents are a little better (5400 rpm hard drive, ATI Radeon 9700 w/128mb RAM, and some other), but the basic heart of the machine is exactly the same.

The next time one of your homeboys says something to you about how great his Voodoo is, just remind him of this: your $1600 eMachines has the same bones as his $3400 Voodoo. Then laugh. Really loud.

    Hi ReverendDC,
Can you post a link showing that they are basically the same machine?
I've never used an Emachine and had never even heard of the Voodoo until today, but I went to both websites and looked at the pictures of both systems and the shells don't look the same to me. The shape of the touchpad is different and it looks like the layout of the ports are different as well. If they are the same I would like to read the link about this. I don't have any preference of one over the other but the voodoo seems better in their customer's eyes as their customer satisfaction is much higher. I looked up both the Voodoopc & Emachines company at resellerratings and Voodoopc has a rating of 9.6 and Emachines is way down at 3.75
