hey all. ive had my m6807 for bout a year now, runs great. something strange happened. i recently reinstalled it to windows xp pro from scratch, and to my surprise whenever i pressed the grey volume up/down keys i got an onscreen indicator in the bottom left of the screen, in green that said Volume, and showed vertical bars that increased or decreased depending on volume changes. also, when i pressed both buttons, the screen showed a green Mute. i had never seen that before, and it was pretty cool.

problem is, now the indicator doesnt show up anymore. the keys still work. the only thing that is different is that I uninstalled windvd5 platinum, and installed windvd6 platinum. now that onscreen indicator only shows up in windvd.

did windvd5 somehow make a systemwide change? any ideas...anyone else experienced this?

    thanks all
