I need a little help here. I just got around to updating drivers for my M6805, and had to problem finding VIA drivers etc...however, when I went to ATI's site and downloaded the latest Catalyst, they would not install. To be quite honest I don't remember what the problem was, but I'm wondering if someone can give me a link to a place where I can d/l drivers that work / or tell me how to get the cataylst to work. Thanks![ :D]

To quickly summarise, you cannot use standard ATI drivers on notebooks. You have two choices, 1. Get drivers from your notebook manurfacture, or 2. Use omega drivers which are based on the ATI ones and work v.well (ATI even thinks there pretty good).

they are ATI drivers just modifyed a little bit u get a few more tabs and settings to mess with, and they are made to work with laptops. Also it has a built in Overclock tab if u decide to.

Go to Omegacorner.com and d/l the drivers from there. The ones you get from ATI only work in desktops. The people at Omega do some amazing stuff with drivers, IMO. They got my Sapphire 9500NP to run like a 9700 Pro, and I'm sure my Mobility chip will show some sort of benefit as well.
