    VPU freezing...

    ne1 here have problems w/ the VPU freezing on the m6809? i use the new omega 4.5 cat drivers and my vpu freezes very often when playing Raven Shield, Athena Sword, UT2K4, and sometimes in CS or CZ... this has happened even before ive tried to overclock my vid card and cpu... ne1 have a fix for this or know y this is happening? thx!

    I too had a problem with freezing (using the Omega drivers too) until I went to Windows Update and downloaded the fix that addresses freezing with 3D games.

    so just run the windows update under tools and it should be under recomended updates? or do i have to find it on mic.com?

    You can find a link to Windows Update on your notebook in Control Panel (click Folder if you don't see a blue column on the left), or in the Help & Support section under Driver Updates.

    Once on the Update site click on "Scan for Updates". After the scan install all the Critical Updates. Then after rebooting go back to the Update site, rescan, then under the Windows XP link, look for the Recommended Update that fixes freeze-ups in games. If it's not in that list, then you must have already downloaded it.
