I am havin problems with my USB ports actually working at USB 2.0. They fail to recognize a Belkin 2.0 USB hub, or recognize an external USB 2.0 HD I wanted to use for backup with Norton GHOST. See this thred http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=33330& and comment if you are having the same problem. Thanks!

I'm using a cheapo Micro Innovations Model No. USB 214N that I picked up at Wal-Mart. It has a power adapter but I haven't used it yet as I'm only using it for my thumb drives. It seems to work fine. FWIW you may need a powered hub if you use a hard drive or optical drive. Also make sure your cable is USB 2.0, no offense if you already know this stuff. Good luck.

I was going to say the same thing...have you tried using the external power of the USB drive?

My M6805 worked with the external USB 2.0 HD, while my m6811 does not. I think this is related to the actual model in the series, not all.

I am externally powering the USB 2.0 Hub.

Anyone with an M6811 having success with an external USB 2.0 Hub?

It turns out my m6811 was faulty. Exchanging it for another m6811 solved the problem. I tested all 4 USB ports in the replacement machine, benchmarking with an external USB 2.0 HD, and they all perform to USB High Speed (480) specx.
