I ordered this memory form Outpost and it work excellent in my M6805.

    DDR 1GB PC2700 SO-D KBYT

Only $144.00 plus a couple of dollars for overnight shipping I believe is was $5.00

By the way it is the exact same one this one guy on ebay is selling for $160.00 plus $12.00 ........and when you recieve it from him it comes direct from Outpost. So he makes a few buck on what you can order direct.

I posted this same memory in the Memory Thread, wondering if anyone got it and it worked.. So thanks for the OK on the memory, I think I will buy some when I get my laptop back from Arima, sent it in for the hinges.

Hey not a problem. I think overnigt shipping cost me like 5bucks so $149.00 total is a steal for 1gig. And It runs like a champ. Installed it in my internal memory and am running 1.5 gigs total. I'm ordering another stick tommorow and will just sell my stick of 512 and my two sticks of 256 for a few dollars.

hey guys, hate to bother you M6800 guys but i was wondering, has anyone upgraded both their internal and user accessible memory slot to 1gb each for a total of 2GB PC2700 ? I know it seems a bit extreme but combined with the new bios and the new Momentus 7200rpm hard drive you guys would have a monster.....just a thought.....

I believe he's talking about the Seagate Momentus laptop drive.
I couldn't find a price anywhere... too new maybe?

Thanks but that bios is far from "new". I thought there is a newer version.
Do you have any idea about the price for the new 7200rpm HD?

The 0F08 bios is the newest official bios for the M68XX series notebooks. I just got mine back 4 days ago for hinge repairs and Gateway reflashed my 0F08 bios with the 0F08 bios again??? What's up with that? I guess the tech didn't take the time to look and see what bios my notebook already had on it. It did add the new eMachines logo though. [ ;)]

As for a guess on the price for the Momentus 100GB 7200rpm drive... probably in the $225 to $275 range. The 5400rpm version goes for $175 to $210 range.
